Hands-on learning, with visual models is a key to success for first grade learners. We are in a time that we are unsure about where we will be learning, but students should be sure about having engaging learning experiences with all materials needed at their fingertips.
Even from home, I will be able to provide students with multisensory learning experiences with these provided materials.
I will be making phonics folders for my students. These folders will be filled with red and green crayons and laminated materials to use with a specific methodology for engaging phonics instruction. These tools will help their brains be stimulated with color visuals and active learning.
The headphones help students stay focused on their Chromebooks when environments can be very distracting, especially with possible learning from home. As students are focused on my teaching, I will be able to use the table top easel to support students' visual learning needs. Not knowing where my teaching environment will be, it is important that I am able to provide the same type of instructional resources my students are familiar to in the classroom.
