My students walk into my room everyday ready to learn, and ready to become the mathematicians I know they can be. Math can be frustrating to many but my students know that when they step into my classroom, together, we will break down each problem to where they can successfully solve them.
I teach at a Title 1 School in Detroit Public Schools Community District where 100% of my students receive free and reduced breakfast and lunch.
My students are eager to learn and do their best despite many hardships. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful. Eventually, my students will move on as they progress through school but I know they will do great things with the skills they have learned during our time together.
