I have requested Bud, Not Buddy, Because of Winn-Dixie, Sing Down the Moon and Number the Stars as the foundation. So the entire class can enjoy the flow of the novel without struggling with words or comprehension of ideas, I read the novels to the class as they follow along in their copies. In this manner, the students will have a resource to use as we work on strategies and activities throughout the novel. As a reader/storyteller, I like to place myself in the person of the character, using emotion.

About my class
