The materials I am requesting for all students at my elementary school will be used to bring hands-on learning to the music curriculum during this time when we can't play the instruments or sing. Each student will receive a bag with supplies for playing and moving through music. First these bags will be used at home through online learning lessons with me. Then the bags will transition to school, when the students do, to be used in class without the need to share. Students in PreK-3rd grade will get to experience rhythm sticks, jingle bells, egg shakers, and scarves for movement. Students in 4th and 5th grade will get to experience rhythm sticks, jingle bells, egg shakers, and cups to create fun movement routines.
Being able to supply students with their own instrument kit will enable them to have a more meaningful experience with their music lessons during this difficult time in education. I am so excited to provide these materials so we can continue to learn and grow through music!
