My goal is to provide my students with resources that will support a hands-on and culturally relevant approach to learning. I believe that my students deserve access to a high-quality education that prepares them for future schooling and life outside of school regardless of their race, gender, zip code, or socioeconomic status. The books that fill my classroom library will not only promote literacy but also allow my students to see themselves represented in texts and learn about other cultures. The math manipulatives will support my students in developing a conceptual understanding of math. The other supplies will support my students as they learn how to be kind and respectful members of our classroom community.
