I am asking for iPads so that students in my intervention classes can access leveled books. With Covid 19, we are not allowed to use our books to instruct students because it can cause cross contamination. The students in my groups are the ones who struggle the most. These boys and girls need something to be able to hold that can be easily disinfected between students. Not only can I pull up books that these kids need, I can also have interactive work to help them learn phonemic awareness, vocabulary, and comprehension.
Most of my students are English Language Learners and Title 1. These I-pads would be the best way to increase their literacy skills and close the gap.
