These supplies are for learning purposes. My students come from other countries and need to feel welcome when they enter. The learning environment needs to be a place of joy and safety as my students already feel out of place in their new country.
Ensuring a friendly environment will help them open up and therefore be more engaged in the learning process. I do not have supplies for my classroom and have already spent over 500 dollars for basic safety measures such as Lysol wipes and hand sanitizer, face masks and gloves.
