My students will be able to explore through reading. We, as a class, will read and then push our minds to analyze what we have read. We will work on thinking critically and apply what we read to beyond what is written in black and white.
The House on Mango Street is broken into short stories, which allows us to take a different approach to how we break it down, whether it be all at once or periodically throughout the school year.
We will work on creating the ability to think critically and analytically, which helps in more than just the classroom, but in life as well.
