We are very excited to be going back to school! In our class, we'll be starting a new morning routine - Brain Bins! Brain bins will help us get our brains ready for a big day of learning. The materials I've chosen will be put into bins for the children to choose from. Every Monday they will choose the bin they'd like to work with during the week. At the end of the week the materials will be sanitized or quarantined for the safety of the next user.
Brain Bins will give my students the opportunity to use their imaginations, problem solving skills, and critical thinking skills before we begin our lessons. They'll be able to start their day with an activity they enjoy such as building, solving a puzzle, or creating art. They can also practice their speaking, listening, and writing skills with socially distant sharing of what they've created with their classmates.
