I currently teach a diverse group of Algebra 2 students, including a co-taught/inclusion class. I have found that these students are most engaged and successful when they are able to complete fun, hands-on, and real-world applicable math projects. At the forefront of my teaching "why," is making math accessible for ALL students, giving students voice and choice in class, and fostering a love for math, or at least curiosity, in my students.
