My hope is to create a classroom environment that will motivate and inspire my students to be the best they can be. I also want to create a safe space where students with coping struggles and anxieties can retreat to calm down without the judging eyes of other students. Besides work stations, I will also have a play space, reading area and a calm down spot. The sensory items that I have included on my request list will help students to self-regulate and stay more focused for classwork as well as managing emotions.
