I teach students how to sing and play guitar in my classroom, but they learn more about being a nice person more than anything. Music is a great tool for students to learn confidence. When a student is confident, they become leaders. When a leader is kind, they learn to call out unkindness. This is all I can hope for. That my students are kind and capable when they leave my classroom.
