This project will provide students the opportunity to discuss, draw, or write their about their feelings and emotions. The project could be completed with an in-person, at-home, or hybrid model for the upcoming school year. The library books will allow students to connect with the feelings and emotions of the characters. These books will be read aloud and will be placed in our calm corner for students to read on their own. The writing prompts will provide opportunities for discussion during our morning meetings in school or virtually. The writing journals will be a safe place for students to draw and write their thoughts or feelings each day. Having a journal will allow them to process their feelings and emotions without having to express it verbally to the whole class.
