Kindergarten will look very different this year. My students will be beginning Kindergarten online. I am creating Kindergarten Learning Toolkits for my students to use at home during our comprehensive distance learning, and I am in need of supplemental items to add to these toolkits. Kindergarteners need hands on tools to work with in order to improve fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and, let's be honest, hands-on learning is just more fun and engaging! When students can safely return to the classroom they will bring these toolkits with them to continue to utilize individually. They will use these tools during Morning Meeting, Literacy, and Math instruction, as well as Science and Social Emotional activities. When students safely return to our classroom they will already be familiar with learning procedures associated with the toolkits so that we can proceed with deeper learning.
