This is my second year teaching, and I will now be teaching all subjects as a fourth-grade teacher in Killeen ISD. Additionally, we also have gallery walks throughout the room where I use items that I have printed out (and placed in the sheet protectors) to empower the students to divide up into groups and solve the problems. The students in my class will be better able to learn with these supplies because they will be able to do group work.
Finally, I chose the amazing books to provide my students examples of characters that they can relate to. It is important that various cultures are honored and respected. For example, in the book, "All are Welcome," students are reminded that they should all support each other.
Basic supplies are needed as well for these students that are mainly low income and need the basic supplies many families cannot provide. These supplies include but are not limited to, scissors, map pencils, a file holder, glue sticks, as well as some STEM learning cards for science and math activities. Thank you for your help.
