Kindergarten students need hands-on activities that keep them engaged. This year will be challenging. We will not be able to do centers. Students are going to be expected to social distance. This project would allow each student to do many of the activities we would do at a center in their own space and then hold up their answers to show it to me and classmates for feedback. The boards would allow for variety. Students would be able to use magnetic letters or wipe boards. This project can help them practice letter formation, letter identification, building CVC words, beginning and ending sound and so much more. This would be the best way for students to interact from a distance. I give a task to do with the letters. They put the correct letters on the board and share by showing.
