Starting second grade virtually will be a new challenge for my students, but I know that being hands on while still learning at home will help them a great deal! The materials I have chosen are to help me create a take home kit for them. The kits will have white boards, unifix cubes, and headphones. Many of my students will be at daycare or at home with other siblings that are virtually learning as well; the headphones will help them focus a little more on what is happening in the virtual class, as well as with reading activities online, the whiteboards will be used for language arts and solving math problems, and the unifix cubes will help students be able to better visualize and have a hands on experience with math problems.
