The 3D printer will be used in the classroom to allow students to print and use designs that they create on TinkerCAD for STEAM activities. Last year, I taught some of the Robotic students (4th graders) from my school to work on TinkerCAD projects. This year, I would like to use the program for STEAM activities in the general classroom.
Not only will being able to print their projects motivate students to improve their design skills it will also teach them some vital engineering skills. This resource can also be used to print and create fidget toys for our Self-Care Corner and as a positive reinforcement tool. Students can earn tickets in our class raffle to print any creations that they have made for fun.
