Due to COVID-19 my students will not be able to access my classroom "Calm Down" spot-an area to take a break that is a choice and not at all a consequence. The tools that are within that space are easily adapted to personalized tool kits that the students and I can customize to meet their needs. We will use these as tools and not as toys to help process our emotions.
These tools kits are critical to our learning each day by helping students move forward and process their big emotions, especially in this very stressful time for families and students alike.
