The books listed in this project will be used to help my students read 100 books this school year. We are back in the classroom and it is very apparent of the reading gaps that are the result of not having direct, face-to-face instruction as a result of the pandemic. The titles will be used to teach themes of empathy, courage, and responsibility. Having up-to-date book titles that are relatable, is the first part of a larger motive to start where they are and build up their confidence. I will be facilitating projects to expand their world view to even more diverse book titles later in the school year.

About my class
