My students need nonfiction books to add to our classroom library! Third graders love learning new facts about various subjects, and these books will help them do that! They will be able to connect their reading to real life experiences, as well as work on their writing and research skills.
My students will become stronger, lifelong readers and researchers given the right books and materials. They will develop a positive attitude towards reading and learn to love nonfiction books.
These high quality and varied reading level books are crucial to meet the needs of each student in my class. I have very few nonfiction titles in my classroom library. These new books will allow my students to learn about the world around them, while improving their reading and critical thinking skills because they will have the opportunity to choose the book that is right for them and is at their reading level.
