I currently have students that will participate in distance learning due to Covid-19 and other illnesses. Many of my students do not even own pencils or pens in their home to be able to complete their assignments. I refuse to let my Special Education students fall behind because of Covid-19. Covid-19 has been extremely difficult on my students because of the lack of routine, instruction, and everyday needs to survive--school is CRUCIAL. My students suffer from disabilities across the board and already struggle academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. I want to ensure my kids have the resources they need to continue learning at home. I will be teaching my students through live stream, projects, and work sent home, but I want to ensure they have all the tools they need to continue to grow. My students already face enough challenges academically; I never want lack of supplies or financial status to dictate my student's success!
