About my class
I'm a first year teacher and these supplies will help make sure that we have what we need to create some amazing projects, learn on the computers, and build a classroom community. Everything on my list was carefully thought out and some examples of how I will use them are listed here: 1) Headphones - allows privacy and noise reduction while their doing learning tasks on their Chromebooks 2) Math visuals and manipulative s can be used to help show students place values, mL vs L, pints vs gallons, and teaching rounding with the dice used in a game. 3) Visual aids are a great tool to help learn a skill! 4) Crafting supplies definitely help make great projects, but did you know that using sensory items helps kids retain information! 5) Play-Doh is a great tool to use, for not only sensory integration, but also for those first day jitters when the teacher is talking to parents, getting supplies sorted, etc. It lets the kids know this classroom is a fun, safe place to be!
