Many of my students come from low income families. I want my classroom to be inviting and comfortable for my students. Building relationships is also important to me and providing a safe environment for my students. These materials will provide the students with opportunities for that comfort.
The earbuds will be used for online testing and many of our families cannot afford the extras of education such as the earbuds. The flexible seating will allow the students to choose the most comfortable and productive place for them to learn. The fidgets will give the students a way to manage their anxiety without being disruptive to the class. Many times the students will not have nutritional meals at home and arrive late at school so the snacks will provide something to get the students through the morning.
