The books will provide an opportunity to read about historical events and be aware of our current society. Most of the books are about African Americans like John Lewis. I hope to have opportunities to discuss the themes in the stories and how they connect to current events. We will be able to discuss the importance of equality and justice for people of all races. As we face this pandemic, students will be able to create inspirational stories and comics that would help us see the positive things in us.

About my class
