Our 3rd-5th grade elementary students are trying to build their individual art kits for the 2020-2021 school year! Please help them by gifting individual watercolor palettes to strengthen their kits. With the added watercolor sets, they will be able to create painted works of art through the year. Specifically the watercolors will be used to create cards to gift to the community, self portraits, and to add color to sculpture projects.
The added watercolors will create a vibrant cheer to their artworks, and allow students to explore the process/uses of watercolor. It will also allow students the opportunity to create like famous artist such as, Vincent Van Gogh, Georgia O'keefe, and Paul Klee in an art classroom setting. The student's kits, as it stands, are made up of crayons and pencils. The added watercolor sets will give students to opportunity to connect with a medium that is not dry, and freedom of language through the art of brush strokes. Please aid our rural community students with the gift of watercolor to create a better environment for student growth!
