My students will be using air dry clay to create sculptures of people and animals. They will be building the base out of cardboard, styrofoam, and masking tape. They will layer the air dry clay over the base thinly, allow it to dry, and then paint it with acrylic paints.
Since it may not work well to use traditional clay with remote learning, I am hoping that the air dry clay will offer an opportunity for my students to create art that is detailed, expressive and creative.
Thank you very much for considering my request.
