These diverse books will mean everything to my students. They will create interest in reading, they will allow my students to connect to characters that are mirror images of themselves, and they will allow my students to reflect on their culture and grow a sense of pride. These will be kept in my classroom library where students will be allowed to take these home to read. They will complete book projects on them. Through reading the books, they will grow in their confidence of reading and see that their are books they can read, relate to, and enjoy.

About my class
