By receiving the items from Lakeshore this will provide my students an opportunity to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. The resources will be most helpful during small group time which will allow them to build and work together. They will develop relationships to teach each other reading and math skills.
I want my students to own their learning, be more engaged and feel proud of their own accomplishments. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional reading and math support to reinforce their learning. These activities will be extremely beneficial to my students and their learning community.
I have seen how proud students feel when they accomplish activities on their own or with a group. They get so excited and want to share what they have learned. This type of independent learning can positively affect my students work and will help us grow as a classroom community.
