These headphones will make a difference in my students' ability to learn digitally in the classroom this year. Due to new schedules and guidelines with COVID-19, my students will be limited to the amount of group/partner work in their daily reading centers. Therefore, I plan to take on a "flipped classroom" this year for my reading centers and social studies instruction. Students can use these headphones to listen to my digital lessons, listen to books being read aloud to them, watch educational videos, etc.
These headphones will be sturdy enough to last the year, easy to clean daily, and efficient in keeping my students' focused on their education. Many of my students cannot afford quality headphones due to their socioeconomic status. Additionally, the earbud headphones have always ended up broken before the end of the first quarter. Furthermore, my ESOL students would benefit from having these headphones to listen to phonics lessons, books read aloud, or to listen to directions in their native language. For my special education students, this could also benefit them in hearing assessments read aloud, books being read aloud, and more. I felt these would be a great resource for my students as we work through digital learning this year!
