With the materials selected, all will be used to help my students with their virtual learning at home. All of these are used for safety, equity, and learning! Making sure that all of my students have equal access and the same learning materials are at the top of my priority. With your donation, you are helping families who may have a harder time paying for extra school materials. Also, you will be helping a teacher who already, without hesitation, dips into her own pocket to help pay for whatever her students need to succeed.
To connect equity and learning, here is how these materials will help me achieve both for my students. I will be able to send home books in book bags. I will have more books to rotate through from my level appropriate class books for all of my kids, so they will never run out of books at home. They will be able to practice their reading strategies using a book in hand, instead of relying on online books. The books I am asking for will help build my library so my students will be able to practice with fresh words instead of repeating books. I will also be able to use the photo bins to send home any manipulatives for math to assist my students who need that visual learning.
All of this and more are all decided with my students' best interest in mind. I thank you for any donations made that help my class and others as well! Teachers are so appreciative of any assistance that builds students' futures!
Thank you!
