I use many materials, most are from the wonderful creative minds at Teachers Pay Teachers. I often purchase and use social stories, social activities, supports, and activities that go along with books we read. In addition I use various board games and LEGOs to target my students’ goals.
During our sessions, we target taking turns, whether in conversation, or while playing games, and role playing various social situations. These materials combined will help me to help my students become more effective communicators and relate with and socialize with each other in a positive, constructive way. Hopefully with enough practice and support they will be able to generalize skills we’ve learned in all environments. Thank you for this opportunity!
