Kindergarteners learn best and are most successful when given visuals to enhance their education. Children remember 10% of what they hear, 35% of what they see, and 65% of what they see and hear combined. Through the use of a document camera, my students will be able to stay engaged, participate, gain independence, reduce stress, and have a better understanding of our virtual lessons we will embark upon. Using a document camera will better support me in providing live virtual lessons. I will be able to demonstrate and provide explicit instructions for activities such as letter and number formation, writing standards such as how to label and create lists, reading, phonemic awareness activities, counting and countless other math standards.
