I am a firm believer in motion based learning. I feel that when students are engaged and having fun, then they are learning. My goal with my students is always to maintain their engagement so that they can learn. I plan the most exciting learning that I can from escape rooms to making ice cream. I live for the moments when my kids have lightbulb moments. The pandemic has taken a lot of joy from the students. Field trips have been put on hold, and hands on activities require the forethought of complying with CDC guidelines. I am requesting a virtual reality headset to assist with engaging the students in an innovative and fun way. The headset could assist with following directions, attending a field trip, oral vocabulary/describing, narration, and endless possibilities. I think this would be a great way to incorporate fun back into the classroom and boost enjoyment in class.
