My project is to help my students connect to what is familiar to them so that they can grow socially. I would like my students to be able to draw real world connections at school; for example the cash register will help with this.
Growth socially will also impact growth academically with writing, reading, math, and science skills. Using the strips and white board for students will help their beginning stages of reading and writing.
Creativity is also something that will enhance connections for my students. The LEGO set takes creativity and socializing with peers to use. Building can help students recognize infrastructures around them.
