The use of technology is daily in my classroom. Students are already inclined to "Google it" if they don't know something. This instant access to knowledge is beneficial in creating projects based on the Civil War or Westward Expansion, as well as many other subjects to extend learning. All the while learning to assess the quality of information, as opposed to one-sided textbooks. Additionally, using specific programs allow teachers to view exactly what each student is doing to ensure everyone is engaged and working appropriately.
This year, students will communicate with their teachers about their emotional well-being through a routine "Check-in." When students have the opportunity to talk to their teacher via Google Forms, they are more willing to be more open about their feelings. Because of this, I'll be able to gauge how my students are doing to make their classroom, or at-home, experience more personal.
By donating to our project, not only will you help my students become more technologically-literate, you will ultimately help them become life-long learners. I need your help to make this a reality!
