The materials I am requesting will help my students have more opportunities to practice and enjoy the STEM lessons we have already set into place throughout the year. The materials will help them with their critical thinking skills, but it will also make their learning time fun. The students look forward to their center time after lunch when they get to build on their learning and do some more of these "fun" activities. Not only are they learning a variety of STEM ideas, but I get the added bonus that some of these materials, like the ZOOB kit, geoboards and number pegs, will also help their fine motor skills which are still developing in a lot of my students. My students are great problem solvers and creative thinkers. They just need some more materials in order to practice those skills and enhance what they are already learning.
