The novels I am requesting are the most high-interest, popular library picks that I have seen over the last couple of years. Instead of having a single copy of each exciting read, I would love to have 3-4 copies of these high-interest books that I can use to create book club units throughout the year!
Having access to high-interest, exciting, contemporary novels is critical to fostering a love of reading! I want to open my students' eyes to diverse authors, characters, text styles, subjects, and themes. The only way to do this is by providing them with two vital components of reading--access to beautiful, high-interest books, and the ability to share the reading experience with friends. Having multiple copies of these books will allow me to provide that opportunity to students, even during these strange, isolated times in the classroom!
