My students will be starting the year through distance learning--which means I won't be able to meet them in person for the foreseeable future. Neither will they have secure access to manipulatives for math, notebooks for reading and writing, and art supplies to make school more enjoyable. However, I want to be able to provide these things for my students whether I see them in person or not.
Together, we will be journaling our experience through this crazy time with notebooks and colored pencils, challenging ourselves to become better mathematicians with base-ten blocks and fraction strips, and working to combine online distance-learning with hands on experiences we can cultivate at home.
