Students will read and will look to apply the text in compare and contrast methods. The students will use current events to compare the story too. This will allow the students to find literary growth and application of the material. This will allow the students to develop a greater understanding when writing their essays and applying information from the text. Students will develop a stronger reading process and hopefuly develop a passion for reading. I believe the text Hunger Games is more relevant for the students due to our current global situation.
