The books I am requesting will be available for students to read in the classroom and for me to read to them either in the classroom or virtually. I believe reading these together will help create a stronger classroom community. I would use them to teach about inclusion, kindness, and what it means to be a good friend. These books will allow many of my students to see themselves as the main character and relate to the themes shown. I want my students to see published works with stories they can relate to and know that everyone's story deserves to be heard.
