We have gotten creative with our 5th-grade band this upcoming year! Every year we have an "Instrument Petting Zoo" for testing and for students to see which instrument they would be the most interested in. We need your help in keeping our band program alive and well. For our students to safely "test" all of our instruments, we have created "Instrument Testing Kits" that provide 3D Printed mouthpieces for brass and woodwind instruments! This way we are able to sanitize them before passing them along to the next class. However, the clarinet and saxophone reeds are one thing we cannot reuse student to student for health and sanitation reasons.
Donating to this project will give these students the opportunity to continue to discover and expand upon their interests, newly discovered passions, and I do believe that music can help create great humans. These kids will be sent home with each student and instructional videos-found on Flipgrid-to find which mouthpiece is their absolute favorite! They will be looking for their favorite SQUAWK!
