Our school is located in a suburb of Raleigh, NC. The school serves sixth, seventh, & eighth grade students. Our student population consists of 15% Caucasian, 49% African American, 30% Hispanic, 3% Multi-Racial, 1.5% Asian, and 1.5% other. We have 6% Limited English Proficient and 65% free/reduced lunch. In addition, 16% of our students receive special education services and 5% are identified as academically gifted in Reading and/or Math. With so many uncertainties and unknowns, students are embracing this “new normal” through unlimited technological innovations daily. In order for students to transition from paper to relevant digital resources I would like to purchase digital supplies to improve the students speaking, vocabulary, grammar, as well as providing some workplace readiness skills.
