This free-standing whiteboard will be the backdrop for the virtual student learning sessions. I would possibly tape a large paper hand to each side of the board (for counting), and ahead with a smiling face. As a virtual class, we could give the board a name and a personality! For math, I would model and show step-by-step calculations for solving problems. In reading, I would use to display correct / in-correct sentence structures, sentence stems for writing, and organizational graphs for brainstorming thoughts. The free-standing whiteboard would help me meet and exceed the challenges of teaching from home with a greater chance of success!
