My students with autism like to move and do not realize that they are moving when concentrating on their work. Special needs students need flexible seating that will allow for movement and to be safe at the same time.
Currently we have two rocking chairs that were given to the class. The rocking chairs are of poor quality and have been repaired a few times by my neighbor who is a wonder with wood working abilities. Our current rockers are made from cheap materials and he said he will not be able to repair them any longer. The chairs are becoming very wobbling and I am afraid that sooner than later the chairs will need to be thrown away.
With your donations we will be able to have two new rocking chairs that the students can use to rock and move while being safe.
