Since I am first year teacher, I am excited to build my classroom library with books that touch on ethnic studies. Reading Dreams and The Hate U Give for instance, will help my students in literacy, comprehension, and vocabulary. In addition, the whiteboard will help me write students responses, based on what they know, what they don't know, and what they would like to learn and also make connections to the readings based on their background knowledge and experiences. The HP printer will greatly help me print out resources from Teachers Pay Teachers to assist my small groups.
