Research shows that reading does so much for students (and adults). Reading allows one to travel to new places, experiences new people and cultures, improve vocabulary, comprehension, and build empathy. Giving my students access to new, fun, and engaging novels is imperative to helping them become life-long readers and learners!
Our campus is Title I, so the opportunity to help students this way is monumental to their well-being and education.
In the last few years, I've been able to give students access to novels they wouldn't have otherwise, and for some, they read their first book since elementary or middle school. They are given choice in their reading, so you will help them have greater options!
