Our students love hands-on learning. We learn best when we are able to move around and interact with the lessons. Our classroom/apartment setting does not have an interactive smartboard. Unfortunately, our teacher is often doing most of the physical components of our lessons on the computer/projector.
Imagine trying to sort laundry during a life skills lesson, but you are not able to move the laundry piece to the correct basket on the screen independently. Of course, we are sorting real laundry in the classroom as well. Having an interactive smartboard in the classroom apartment will allow us to be hands on with our learning. We will have the opportunity to be move around during lessons. This allows our students to be more independent in their work.
