I am passionate about high quality, phenomena based science instruction. I need supplies to create kits so that students can complete experiments alongside me at home, so that they can have a rich experience figuring out how science impacts them in their everyday lives. For example, I plan to use these materials to make bath bombs so that students can explore chemical reactions and ask questions about where air bubbles come from. Students will also have materials to make their own bath bombs at home. Students will also be using foam koozies to design cups in order to explore how thermal energy is transferred. Additionally, I will use materials like the tea kettle, speaker, amp, and tuning fork to create videos for students so that they can engage in experiments with a familiar face, even when materials cannot be included in their kits. I believe that science is so much more meaningful when students are able to engage in hands on activities, and I want to make that happen for my students!
