Seeing so many students means I usually have to be creative with the way I use my school budget. In my STEM classroom, we try to incorporate as much hands-on learning as possible. That means my budget goes towards refilling consumable items from science labs and engineering projects.
This STEM library is lacking inspiration and diversity. I usually turn to libraries or second hand stores searching for books that will help inspire my students to have a love for all things STEM. These books I have chosen will help establish a strong library for my students that range in age level, topics, and abilities. These books will help create awe in my little learners. Create fascination with creating and the ability to keep trying. Some of these books (Mindset Matters, Everyone's Contributions Count, etc.) will provide myself with the tools to build on essential science skills like a growth mindset and teamwork. Others in my collection are intended to inspire students with real life stories (Women in Science) and broaden their understanding of jobs in the STEM field.
I have taken the time to pick out books I really feel will deepen my students love for STEM. Any help that can given will be so appreciated by both myself and my students.
